The Faculty of Law and Global Justice at Innovate Summer Academy is proud to welcome Helen Tung, a barrister and senior legal lecturer with over 18 years of global legal experience.


Helen’s expertise spans commercial contracts, space law, maritime and shipping law, ESG, intellectual property, and emerging technologies, offering students a truly unique and forward-thinking legal perspective.


Helen brings international insight to every aspect of her teaching. She has represented clients from some of the world’s leading institutions, including the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the United Nations Office of Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).


At Innovate, she will guide students through complex legal concepts while inspiring them to explore how the law is evolving in response to global challenges and innovation.


Helen is also a board member of the International Institute of Space Law and contributes to initiatives like UN AI for Good. Her research in areas such as environmental law, data protection, and space exploration reflects her commitment to shaping the future of legal practice.
